Page Performance: Search Console traffic for a list of URLs
Check clicks, impressions, CTR and position for an exact set of URLs from a sitemap, a pasted list or a file, and find the pages that get no traffic.
Page Performance (the Page Performance Checker) answers a question the regular Pages report cannot: how is this particular set of URLs doing? Give it a sitemap, a pasted list or a file, and it joins every URL with Search Console's page data for your date range, including the URLs Search Console never reported, which are often the most interesting ones. Leave the list empty and it checks every page Search Console knows about.
Add the URLs
Under Add URLs to Check, use any one of:
- Load from a sitemap: pick one of the sitemaps registered for the property in Search Console. AutoPSEO downloads it (index files are followed) and keeps the URL list for 24 hours; Refresh downloads it again.
- Or paste URLs (one per line).
- Or upload a text file: TXT or CSV, one URL per line.
Up to 50,000 URLs are checked. The date range, comparison period and filters come from the controls at the top of the page; the default is the last 28 days against the previous 28.
If your server blocks the download with a 403 error, allow the user agent AutoPSEO-Bot/1.0.
How URLs are matched
Search Console reports page URLs exactly as Google saw them, while sitemaps and spreadsheets are often inconsistent. Before joining the two, AutoPSEO ignores the differences that rarely mean a different page: http vs https, www. vs no www., a trailing slash, and anything after #. Query strings are kept, because ?page=2 usually is a different page. Clicks and impressions of variants that collapse together are added up, and position is the impression-weighted average.
Read the results
The cards show Total URLs, With traffic (at least one click in the period), Without traffic, Total clicks and Total impressions. Two charts follow:
- Clicks & impressions of the checked URLs: daily totals for the list.
- Traffic concentration: the cumulative share of clicks as pages are added from best to worst. The closer the curve hugs the top-left corner, the more your traffic depends on a few pages.
The table lists each URL with clicks, impressions, CTR and position against the comparison period, a daily-clicks sparkline and a status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| With traffic | At least one click in the period |
| Impressions only | Shown in search but never clicked |
| No traffic | Reported by Search Console in the comparison period only, with nothing in the current one |
| Not in Search Console | No data for this URL in either period |
Tabs filter to each status, and a note above the table lists examples of URLs that never appeared in Search Console.
What the gaps tell you
- Not in Search Console means the URL earned no impressions in either period. Google may not have indexed it, may index another version of it (a redirect target or a canonical), or may simply not show it for any search. Inspect a sample with URL Inspection, or send the whole sitemap to bulk inspection from Sitemaps to tell these apart.
- Impressions only pages are indexed and ranking somewhere, often deep in the results. They are candidates for improvement or for merging into a stronger page.
- A large share of URLs without traffic in one sitemap is a signal about that template or section; Sitemap Performance compares sitemaps side by side.
Search Console's page data only covers URLs that appeared in Google results during the period, and very rare queries are left out of the query breakdowns, so expect small differences against other reports (how Search Console counts data).
How AutoPSEO helps
Run this report on the sitemap of the pages AutoPSEO writes for you to see, in one table, which delivered articles already earn clicks and which are still waiting to be indexed. The content engine pings IndexNow for each article your site accepts when your site provides a key (delivery).
