Bing Pages: Bing performance for each URL

Shows the pages Bing sends visitors to, with clicks, impressions, CTR and ranking against the previous period and Google's figures for the same path.

Bing Pages lists the URLs Bing Webmaster Tools reports traffic for, with clicks, impressions, CTR and Bing's average ranking in the selected date range. Every page is compared with the previous period and matched to the same page in Search Console, so you can see which URLs Bing favours, which it ranks below Google, and which pages gained or lost Bing traffic.

How pages are matched to Google

Bing and Search Console do not always write a URL the same way, so both sides are reduced to a path before matching: the protocol and host are dropped, along with any query string and fragment, the path is URL-decoded, and a trailing slash is removed. https://www.example.com/guides/setup/?ref=nav and http://example.com/guides/setup both become /guides/setup.

That makes matching forgiving, with one side effect. If the property spans several hosts, such as a domain property with a blog subdomain, pages on different hosts with the same path are added together on the Google side.

Columns and labels

  • Page, Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Avg. Ranking for Bing, with Previous Ranking while Show comparison period is ticked.
  • Google Clicks and Google Position for the matched path, and Position Gap: Bing position minus Google position, negative when Bing ranks the page higher.
  • Engines: agree, bing_better or google_better when the positions differ by 3 or more, and bing_only when Search Console has no data for that path in the period.
  • Movement: winning, losing, new or flat, decided by the change in ranking first and by the change in clicks when the ranking stayed the same.

Tick Show full URL to see complete addresses instead of paths. The tabs All, Winning, Losing and New filter on Movement, and a page that had Bing traffic last period but none now appears under Losing with zero clicks.

Reading the page

The cards give Bing's Clicks, Impressions, CTR and Average Ranking with their change, and the number of pages where the engines disagree. Top Bing pages by clicks charts the ten busiest pages with both positions on each bar. The table shows 50 rows per page, sorted by clicks, and can be searched, copied or exported as CSV; up to 10,000 pages are listed.

What to look for

  • Pages losing Bing clicks while Google holds steady: this can point to a crawl or indexing problem on Bing's side rather than a content one. Look the URL up in Bing Crawl Issues.
  • google_better pages with high Bing impressions: Bing considers them relevant but ranks them lower. Compare them with what outranks you in Bing.
  • bing_only pages: URLs with Bing traffic and no Search Console data in the period. Check whether Google has indexed them with the URL Inspection tool.
  • New pages: confirm that recently published pages reach Bing. If they take long to appear, send them through IndexNow when they go live.

Limits

  • Bing refreshes page statistics weekly and returns its top pages rather than every URL, according to its GetPageStats reference. A range of a few days can come back thin, and when Bing sends one all-time bucket the comparison stays empty.
  • Google's side reads up to 25,000 page rows for the same dates.
  • AutoPSEO keeps Bing's answers for 12 hours.
  • Positions are measured differently by the two engines; Search Console uses your topmost position in each search. Small gaps are noise.

The same comparison by search term is on Bing Queries.
