Subscription & billing
AutoPSEO's plans, the 7-day trial, the monthly article quota and research credits, and how to subscribe, change plan, cancel or fix a failed payment.
AutoPSEO bills monthly, in US dollars only, through Stripe. Every account starts with a 7-day trial that needs no card. The three plans differ in how many articles the content engine writes each month, how many properties you can show and store, how many people you can invite and how much research data you can use. Everything else, from the reports to MCP access, comes with every plan.

Every plan includes the full analytics suite with exports, indexing monitoring, the advanced reports and site analysis, Slack, Teams and webhook alerts, scheduled Slack reports, saved data snapshots, report sharing, MCP and API access, the ChatGPT connection and email support. Business adds priority support and help with onboarding. The pricing page compares the plans in full.
If you need more than Business allows, custom plans start at $399 a month for 1,000 API properties and 225 stored ones, and the largest, Custom Strategic, starts at $4,799 with 2,700 or more stored properties. Higher tiers are available on annual contracts. Talk to us about one.
Articles and optimisations
The article quota counts the work of AutoPSEO's own writer. Each new article, or full rewrite, is charged once to the month it was written in, and a retried step never charges a second time. Optimisations, which change a title, a description or a section of a live article, have a separate allowance of twice the article number. Both reset at midnight UTC on the first of the month.
Articles your own AI writes through MCP cost no quota. Translations and research data are paid from research credits instead. When the month's articles run out, the engine waits for the reset or a larger plan; Writing and review has the details.
Research credits
Keyword, SERP, backlink, site-audit and rank-tracking data is bought from DataForSEO, and AI work such as translation and topic checks has a cost too. Each call is recorded at cost plus 28%, and 1,000 credits equal one US dollar of that spend. The allowance belongs to the workspace, so teammates spend the owner's credits, and it resets on the 1st (UTC). The Subscription & Billing page shows Research credits this month as a meter. When it is empty, research tools refuse further calls until the reset, while Search Console reports and the free MCP tools carry on. MCP & ChatGPT lists which tools use credits.
Subscribing and changing plan
- Open Subscription & Billing from the sidebar.
- Pick a plan card; Total due today follows your choice.
- Choose Subscribe. Stripe Checkout collects your payment details, calculates any tax from your billing location and accepts promotion codes.
- Back in AutoPSEO, the plan switches on as soon as Stripe confirms the subscription, which usually takes under a minute.
As a subscriber, the same page shows your plan, its renewal date and meters for API properties, full storage, seats and research credits. Change plan and Manage billing open Stripe's billing portal, where you switch plans, update your card, download invoices or cancel. Upgrades apply at once and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
The trial
The trial runs for 7 days from your first sign-in, with the limits in the first column above. A banner counts down the days, the billing page shows the hours left, and AutoPSEO emails you before it ends. Nothing is charged until you subscribe.
When a payment fails or access lapses
A failed payment brings up a Payment failed notice with a link to update your payment method in the Stripe portal; the plan stays active while the payment is overdue. If the subscription is cancelled or stays unpaid, access ends. Without a trial or paid plan:
- Report pages still open, but their data does not load until you choose a plan.
- API keys and MCP connections answer with a "subscription required" error, and no new keys can be created.
- You cannot invite new team members.
- The content engine starts no new work. Articles already published stay where they are.
Your properties, stored history and settings are kept, so subscribing again picks up where you left off, and the demo property keeps working throughout.
