Connect Search Console to ChatGPT

Two routes in

The AutoPSEO app is the shorter one: install it, sign in with Google, and answers come back as interactive cards and tables rather than a wall of numbers. The custom connector route points ChatGPT at the raw MCP endpoint instead, which is what you want if you are building your own workflow around it.

Installing the app

Add AutoPSEO from the ChatGPT app directory, approve the sign-in, and ask about a property by name. The app inherits whatever your AutoPSEO account can already see, and nothing else.

The custom connector

Create an API key under Account, MCP API keys, then add a connector pointing at https://app.autopseo.com/mcp with an Authorization header. It speaks Streamable HTTP at protocol version 2025-06-18, so ChatGPT discovers the tools on connect.

Getting good answers

Say which property and which period you mean. Search Console settles two to three days behind, so a question about yesterday will read as a drop unless the assistant is told to state the dates it actually used.

• Name the property, especially with a portfolio connected
• Ask it to state the analysis period and the comparison period
• Omit dates entirely and the server uses the last 28 settled days

Limits

Calls are rate limited per key at 60 requests per minute, with 1,000 per hour per account. Over the limit the server returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header in seconds, which well-behaved clients respect on their own.
