What are Coverage / Pages report errors in Google Search Console?

The Pages report (formerly Coverage report) shows four status categories:

Error - Pages that could not be indexed due to a critical issue (e.g., server errors, redirect errors, blocked by robots.txt when not intended).

Valid with Warning - Indexed but has an issue worth investigating (e.g., indexed despite a noindex on another version).

Valid - Successfully indexed by Google.

Excluded

• Not indexed, but usually intentionally (noindex tag, redirects, duplicates, etc.).

Prioritize fixing Error status pages, especially if they are important pages that should be indexed.
